A New Efficient Approach for Effective Warehousing of RFID Data: Readers Load Sentient Scheme

چکیده

Decision support systems have grown to its best with the emergence of data warehousing. The drastic development of data warehousing is proffering organizations with an influential decision support utility which can possibly be effectively employed to sustain supply chain activities throughout a business or industry. Of late, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) has materialized into an eminent technology and is employed in a wide variety of industry applications including as supply-chain logistical management, asset management, pharmaceuticals and the like. The enormous quantity of data resulting from the proliferation of RFID readers and tags leads to some exciting challenges for the effective warehousing of RFID data. This research work discusses a novel efficient approach, named as Efficient RFID Data Warehouse Management (ERDWM), for effectively warehousing the RFID data. The approach considers the loads of the RFID readers in order to identify overloaded readers and the one that is devoid of load. On the basis of priority, the latter are placed in the area of the former for the effective collection and warehousing of data without any loss. The experimental results demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed novel approach.
